From copywriting for retail to long-form articles for news, I have a firm grasp on writing and love getting to include it in as an essential part of my career.
Copywriting:
During my time at Buckle, I mastered copywriting for retail. In my social media position, I wrote copy for post captions and Stories. A few of my favorite examples are below. For examples of my most recent work, I currently write all the captions for our Instagram channels, seen here: @Buckle, @BuckleMens, @BuckleYouth
Long-Form Writing:
I was employed at the University of Wyoming’s Newspaper for two and a half years, I worked as a news writer and as the Arts & Entertainment editor for one of those years. During that time I wrote news, opinion and feature articles, I also managed a team of writers and managed weekly budgets of stories for the A&E section. I generated quality content and strongly developed my writing skills while writing in the Associated Press Style.
*Please note, what is published here, has not gone through an editor and is true to what my raw writing is like. You can see several of my published articles on the UW’s newspaper’s website.
